ABOUT GCSN
GCSN is based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Founded in 2004, GCSN intents to be the American application of Red Solidaria (Solidarity Network) concepts, an organization based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our goal is to show the work of that network to the world and to promote working together for humanitarian aid.
We work to promote a solidarity culture by inviting volunteers and organizations to join this project, even as a virtual volunteer through the Internet. With this network, we can find creative and innovative solutions for the problems of individuals.
We invite people from all around the world, no matter their beliefs, nationality, race, religion, etc., to participate in this global web.
ABOUT RED ( network ) SOLIDARIA ( solidarity)

Red Solidaria (Solidarity Network) was founded in 1995 as a response to Argentina’s need to create a mechanism that would provide help in the many situations and needs that we face on a daily basis in society.
It is an organization in which volunteers try to save the lives of others or improve others’ quality of life. We establish a link between those people who need and those people who can cover each of those needs. We believe in the ability of our society to answer these needs in solidarity more and more every day.
Red Solidaria receives an average of 100 calls every day, although that number triples in emergencies. At the beginning, the majority were requests, but now, 50 percent of people call to offer their time, clothing, medications, an organ, etc…
Other facts:
In 1995, Red Solidaria was nominated by a UN International Jury as one of the 40 best community practices in the world. It was judged on three criteria: it must have a widespread effect on improving the living conditions of citizens, it must be a sustainable project capable of creating change in politics, attitudes, and behavior, and it should be a participatory project which is the result of cooperation and collaboration.
